It truly is hard...actually ever since I was little around 6 I wished at 11:11 that I could turn into a cat anywhere I wanted and anytime I wanted...and that was when I hadn't awakened yet...I want my old body...I want to be free and in the wild...I don't want to be in a house stuck behind a screen and artificial lights...I WANT TO BE *HOME*

I remember when i was younger around 5, 6, i had a heavy obsession with cats (also i didnt like being a human). At home i would crawl around on all4s, and maybe even do quadrobics. (I didnt knew what it was called, also i didnt know about the therians) I just played i was a cat. Out in public and kindergarten i wouldn't be an all4s but i would meow between sentences, when i paused or just at randoms times. Or hiss when i didnt like something. Like a cat would.
Me and my mom were shopping in the mall, when i meowed a few times quietly, and the she said "dont meow its cringe and when you're older they would make fun of you for that" it was very, *VERY* hard to stop. That night i even cried. Eventually i stopped. Then maybe a year later mom showed me a video of girl holding a colar in her hand she was asked "why do you have that?" And the girl replied "because im a cat :3" and then there was this cat making a face 'ew wtf'.
Fast forward a few years. while going to the train so i could go to school i tell my mom "i think tails are cool, i wish id have one" and she said "i hope your kidding" then whe told me about this Instagram reel, where she saw and told me that there was a teenager who had a fox mask and tail (now i know its called gear) and that she was jumping around and that there was a text saying "my dad finally called me my pronouns i use!" And she said that this is not cool. I didnt understand, and i still dont. whats wrong with therians? Let them be who they are. Please 🥺. They're just living their lives. I dont know if im a therian. Furry? 100%. But a therian? I dont know... Probably not...

(And if there's such a thing that i force down my therian, then maybe i am one, if there isn't (most likely) then i was an eccentric kid. Also sorry for venting (i think..?) i felt like i need to get off my chest)

one of my earliest childhood memories is watching my cat and being both curious about how she felt in her body and also upset about not being like her. i even expressed my disappointment with my human body to my mother lmaoo
