Thank you so much it’s nice seeing people like me in this field. I made the decision to major in finance to help me pursue my creative passions and I’ve been feeling stressed because im personally against what the typical person who majors in this believes in. But seeing that a lot of people in the comments are doing this to educate and sustain themselves as well is nice.

I work in corporate investment banking, you really need to be passionate about finance to deal with corporate. It’s a lot but I love it! I really want to write for a finance publication. Do not go into finance for the money, you will be miserable. Do it because you love it or at least like it lol.

I'm a black female. I'm in 10th grade. When I want to go to UGA college, major in finance and business administrations, get a bachelor's degree. After I graduate, I want to work as a financial manager. Once I'm settled I'm going to own a business based on my genius idea😌so yeah that's my plan

This type of representation is sooo important. People in finance have a typical “look” (stuffy, bland, Patagonia vest on top of white button up, etc) if you know you know. It can be really discouraging not fitting into that mold and when you also have a strong creative side that shows up in your day to day life and appearance, people tend to box you out.

I'm about to graduate in December, but with my low GPA and no job experience, nor internships and soon to move out on my own with student loans I have the lowest of the lowest expectations on getting a job related in finance. Luckily, I migth get a low paying job in a pizzeria soon haha If any of you are scare just like myself just know that I'm with you!! We can get through this, somehow!! Good luck.

I was a finance major too but literally graduated 3mths before the pandemic and let me tell you the journey has been nothing but hell for me smh. Currently I’m working as a server I’m not passionate about it but at least I’m making some kind of money. I really hope somewhere in my future I’ll find myself back into finance
