Is Sunday Worship Pagan Idolotry?

The World Mission Society Church Of God (WMSCOG or
"mother god" cult) members often accuse Christians of participating in pagan idolatry when they worship on Sunday. This is a clip from Jordan and Nasser's conversation about the Sabbath where they address the question: should Christians worship/go to church on Sundays? And if they do are they participating in pagan idolatry?

The WMSCOG claims that if you worship on Sunday, you are worshipping the Sun god because people in the 4th century or so worshipped the Sun god on Sunday. But Nasser brings up a good point, that just because you do something the same time as another religion doing a different tradition, doesn’t mean you are automatically celebrating that other tradition. And it’s so funny because the WMSCOG will tell people that they can keep communion or Eucharist the exact same scheduled time as the Passover but that’s still not the Passover. Yet if someone goes to church on a Sunday, they are worshipping the Sun god? Double standard in the WMSCOG teaching lol.

I agree with all these points, but would have been nice to hear some scripture to back up the claims. Several points in the New Testament that describe the Church as having met on Sundays for corporate worship. They went into the synagogues on sabbath days to witness to the Jews.

You quoted only partially from what we taught and did not bring out the whole picture.

The most fundamental reason we shouldn't observe the Sunday service is because this is a day originated from Sun-god.

The change of Christian Sabbath on Saturday to Sunday is due to the oppression from Rome, whose major religion is sun-god Mithraism. Due to the long period of time of being oppressed and persecution, the saints who lost faith gave in themselves to Roman's policy in order to reduce persecution. There are many things that Christians in middle age had adopted from Rome, one of them is Vulnerable Day of the Sun proclaimed through the Edict of Milan in A.D.313 and Sunday Law in A.D.321. to hold worship service on Sunday However, even this is within God's prophecy (Daniel 7:25).

So, there is a deep historical relationship between Roman Sun-god religion and Christian Sunday service today. This is undeniable.

Can you please tell me why the wmscog count their sabbath from midnight to midnight instead of the friday evening to sat evening?

Isaiah 58:13-14 says don't turn away from the Sabbath and do our own pleasure on his holy day! ) You really think it doesn't matter to him?

Come on...use bible scripture that warns us to keep the 7th day holy...starting in genisis 2: 2-3....leading up to the ten commandments where the Saturday Sabbath is the 4th commandment....js....
