Best Shepherds Pie Recipe - Easy Homemade Shepherd's Pie

The Shepherd's pie recipe that will keep you going for more! This easy shepherd's pie recipe is so delicious, comforting and easy to make.

INGREDIENTS (Recipe can be doubled)
Ground beef or lamb ( i used about 1.2 lbs)
olive oil
1 medium onion
1 large red bell pepper
2 large carrots
3 cloves garlic
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbs tomato paste
1 Tbs better than bouillon roasted beef base
1/2 cup sweet peas
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp dried parsley
cheddar or your favorite cheese ( use as much as you want)
Mashed potatoes (use just enough to fill top of meat, about 2 to 3 cups)

Love your recipes Claudia but I’m English and have to comment. Beef is cottage pie lamb is shepherds pie. Neither have cheese. I’m sure it was delicious 😉

Looks good but, FYI, you made a Cottage Pie not a Shepherd's Pie... Lamb or mutton makes a Shepherd's pie, Beef makes a Cottage pie.

Shepherds pie is made with lamb not beef, that is cottage pie, u also forgot the tomatoes
