This only works if the sequence is constructed for it to work like this. Not all sequences are defined by a polynomial (and in fact, most aren’t).

Hello I have a question
What is the sequence given has only 4 terms and we must find the nth terms
The problem in such question is once you get to the 3rd sequence we must stop because we don't have other numbers to find the difference between them.
What should I do in this situation?

I think the formula for this is
an = 3.5n² - 6.5n + 4

These are very typical in the local electrician union's application test.
