hi im a parent and im stumped with my 4th grader's math problem. The number pattern is 2, 1, 2/3, 2/4, 2/5, .... to the nth term of fractional sequence, and - 1/4, -1-9/4, -4, -25/4, ....i dont understand how? any help will be appreciated. thank you

hi there i have some trouble with this: what if the numerator has the same number like 2 but the denominator only increase by 1. the question in my assignment by the way is
