7+7= 14 next of this number is 15
15+15=30 next of this number is 31

so the answer is C.31.

No need to subtract anything. Problem is way too simple. Look carefully and you'll find that the next number in the series is simply a double of previous number +1. Hence the answer is 15×2 + 1= 31

A series is an expression that indicates the sum of terms of a sequence.
What you have there is a sequence, not a series.

Number of numbers between that series is following prime numbers. So, we can say 27 also.

The formula is the previous number times 2 plus 1 equals new number in sequence. So 15 × 2 plus 1 = 31

The difference, 'd', doubles each time. So we have 31 as tbe answer. From 1 to 3 is d=2, from 3 to 7 is d= 4, from 7 to 15 is d= 8, and from 15 to 31 is d=16.
From 15 + d( 16) = 31 ( missing number in the sequence)

I got the right answer. But for each number I skipped that many numbers in sequence to the next number and repeat the pattern, and I got the same answer.
So 1, skip next 1#, (2), then 3. Skip next 3 #’s, (4, 5, 6) is 7, skip next 7#’s (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) then 15, skip next 15#’s and you get to 31

The point is add to the serie de consecutive number, when is add to 15 the consecutive in it case is 16 = 31, if the serie continue the next number will be 63 which is = 31+32 isn't it?
