Don’t sleep on the machine shoulder press, I find that it’s easier to train to failure on machines vs dumbbells because of the added stability. If shoulder pain is a concern, using the neutral handles can be a more comfortable option

I actually experienced less soreness in my shoulders and less pain in my lower back once I switched from machine to dumbbells because the machine didn't fit my frame, so I guess the machine is not for everyone

I just injured my left shoulder, it looks like i can't push anything in the gym for a while except a door with a "push" sign. Watching this shoulder exercises tip video suddenly popping in my feeds are just offensive for me and my shoulder... 😅😂😭


Keep making a good gym tip content though, i would consider this tip once my left shoulder heals. 💪

Maturing in the gym is realizing machines and cables are usually better for hypertrophy due to tension

I love machines, i really do, but it doesn't help with muscle imbalance. Since both handles are connected, when my weaker left shoulder is giving in my stronger right can sorta take over, further creating imbalance.
That's the biggest reason i prefer cables or dumbbells over machines, as each side has its own resistance.
Machines can be really good tho, don't get me wrong, then can perfectly isolate and stimulate that one specific muscle 💪

Im doing it on machine like this is one of exercise where on machine i can do very very last rep but on free weight it will make my arm go crazy dancing to push it at the last reps

They’re sort of interchangeable. Besides studies showing that hypertrophy is equal between machines vs free weights, dumbbells COULD allow you to use a path of motion that is better for your joints, whereas others may benefit from the stabilized machine. I’m glad you aren’t trying to argue one is objectively better than the other like some fitness influencers.

I used that machine today cuz dumbell benches were full. I waited 10minutes then used shoulder press machine. Im glad to see that video now 😅
