I actually have a friend who has a fennec fox. She was a rescue from a fur farm and because of her being born in captivity and that she had injuries as a baby she couldn't survive in the wild. So, the guy and his wife - who is an exotic animal veterinarian - went through the training and adopted her. She's about 3 now and she loves them so much. They have twin girls and that little fennec is protective of them. She also steals apples and other fruits if they don't watch. Her name is Cari after the Carinadad star system (the guy is an astrologer.)
