Buying a chinchilla is one of my life’s great regrets. Poor thing was so lonely. Human companionship was not enough for her. I gave her away to someone with another chinchilla, and I hope she is happy. I did a lot of research beforehand and gave her the best I could, but in retrospect, it was a very selfish thing to do.

I had some hermit crabs when I was younger and I took care of them greatly so they lived a long time. That’s what made it sad when I saw a pile of broken claws, eyestalks, and legs. We buried it and it was very sad but the next day we looked in the enclosure and saw all the crabs still there. The crab had actually changed shells and just took the opportunity to shed its claws, legs, and eyestalks.

It’s odd how the “Australian” Capybara is only found in South America, huh? Weird.

About as much research was done for this video as most of the people who owned these pets did before getting them.

We had a house that had a flying squirrel nest in it, they're really friendly and are pretty social.
We had one that was pretty accustomed to the family and spent alot of time with us, they're pretty neat little animals.

I'm happy to see that most of the comments I've read are stressing the importance of animal welfare before personal feelings. People who ONLY want a rare cute looking animal as a pet, are the one's that shouldn't be allowed them in the first place. Pet's like children are NOT accessories or trophies.
