Debate Recap: Key takeaways from the Walz-Vance vice presidential debate

Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz met on stage Tuesday for what was likely the last debate of the 2024 presidential election.

The two vice presidential candidates struck a cordial tone as they spoke in-depth about everything from immigration to health care and democracy.

Looming large over the showdown was Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, as Walz and Vance were forced to answer for their running mates' records while also presenting their own visions for the future.

What I admire about this debate is that it wasn’t a personal attack on each other. It needs to be this way in debates from here on out. People need to work together FOR THE COUNTRY rather than against each other.

When ever Walz got called out on his Tiananmen Square Lie...and began his answer with.."I grew up in a small rural community...I almost pissed myself laughing...Its just like kamalas .."Look..I grew up in a middle class salad that never answered the question.... liars cheats and thieves.

I'd give the W to Vance. That being said, it was nice to see some professionalism (for the most part) in a debate. This was easier to stomach than either presidental debate.

I was awake for the first half and to JD’s credit, he started off calling him Tim. I thought it was the more statesman like exchange then I have seen in quite sometime. Bravo to both candidates.
