The vice presidential debates consistently exude an air of gravitas and sophistication. It is gratifying to witness a genuine political discourse during a moment of paramount significance in American history.

It is strange to me that people are debating whether FACT CHECKING should be done or not done. What is the alternative? That we are told lies or inaccurate information???? What is the whole point then? That we vote based on things that are not even REAL???? The whole premise is bizarre to me.

Why did this debate seem more like a presidential debate than the actual one? 🤔

If I lived under a rock, I would of thought these two were running for president

No... the moment of the night was when they were talking about Roe v Wade and Walz was talking about
the woman's right to decide and Vance kept saying "Just trust us". To me that spoke volumes as to what
the Trump agenda is.

We need a leader who will unite America, not divide it.

You cannot negotiate with a malignant narc. They are supreme predators. They will never show mercy.

The rules for debates need to evolve in response to the current era of rampant misinformation. With some candidates spreading lies at unprecedented levels, it's crucial that debate moderators take on the responsibility of fact-checking in real time. Without this, millions of viewers are left misinformed, especially if they haven't been closely following the news or don't verify claims on their own. Fact-checking during debates would help ensure that the public receives accurate information, fostering a more informed electorate.

Not fact checking the candidates' statements is where I find an issue in this debate when America needs the truth right now.

Glad to see them cordial and respectful to each other before and after the debate. Refreshing.

That handshake between Vance and Walz and their wives was nice to see. The cordiality was great.

Don't care.
Still voting Harris/Walz.
The other team is just plain crazy.
They've shown who they are BEFORE the debate.

If you don’t want to be fact checked, it means you want to be able to lie and that’s exactly what he did

I will say I am impressed that it was civil, polite and they agreed with each other. Refreshing!

The moderators were so impressive and they handled that mute button and shut Vance up.

Walz missed the opportunity to call Vance out on "Childless cat ladies", he failed to mention Trump's deranged "Eating the cats and dogs" assertion, and several times he allowed Vance to set the false narrative that Kamala has done nothing for the past 3 years, when he should have countered with Trump's dismal record as president for 4 years. 😐

Touché Lawrence. GREAT LINE.
Vance is the only VP candidate in history who doesn't know who won the last Election!

A debate between 2 mid westerners....the only thing missing was "ope, I'm sorry" a bunch. Civil, nice, agreeance, what a breath of fresh air.

Walz was able to talk about what he did for Minn, while JD couldn't mention one thing he did for Ohio.
