My ex wife called me to apologize 4 years after our divorce. She cheated on me and decided to abandon me and the marriage to be with her affair partner. Its comical that people can just leave you for dead and never look back but her calling me all those years later to apologize really showed that people who do you dirty in relationships deep within themselves know they acted like pieces of shit and deeply hurt you. Not everyone gets a phone call apology like I did and for that I am very thankful but it didn’t make it hurt any less and I still deal with the betrayal trauma in my heart and mind over 7 years later.
