Garland was one of the few singers who had the pipes to out sing a jazz orchestra playing fortissimo. No instrumentalist ever had to worry about drowning her out!

I imagine that 200 years from now....500 years from now..."Somewhere Over the Rainbow" will still be a classic.

Judy Garland Live at Carnegie Hall is off the chart incredible, said by some to be the best performance in history. You can certainly feel the love of the audience coming through. Incredible.

Sammy Davis Junior said of Judy Garland, “She was the world’s first ☝🏾‘Superstar’.” On TCM everyone loved her, one actress saw them taking her food away, after an eight hour work day on a Christmas Parade. Norm Jewison said that she had ‘Frick and Frack’, Margaret O’Brien adored her, and they called her ‘the. funniest. woman. in. Hollywood.” Her Oscar should have been FULL sized.❤️

There are so many incredible songs from that short lived series, One of my favourites is, When The Sun Comes Up.

Thank you, Fil. Beautiful voice. Criminal how she was manipulated by the studios.

Judy Garland never disappoints. She has a delivery that astounds anyone who heard or saw her perform. You cannot stop her emotions affecting yourself; smiling or crying. Thank you.

Clearly, you know much more than being a rock guitarist. You show a level of knowledge like an audio recording engineer or scientist. Thank you for the thoughtful appreciation and admiration for Judy Garland, one of the all time great singers.

What a classic performance. She is an icon. I could watch the Wizard of Oz 100 times and never tire of it because of Judy Garland.

Her version of " Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas " is exceptional. Haunting and emotional. Listen to that song! How can you beat Dorothy on ""The Wizard of Oz?".
