She's the greatest singer of all time. Nobody before her or after her has ever come close to a talent like her's. I do sometimes cry when she reaches that very last note because of it's just wow

She just opens up and lets it out, and she uses her arms as an extension of her voice. She was a one-of-a-kind true artist.

You really need to watch "It Never Was You" from the same movie. Not only is it a wonderful Kurt Weill/Mawell Anderson song but Miss G sang it live on the set with just a piano. One continuous take and no pre-recording or lip sync. Just artistic genius!

We all know she’s going to top the song but she exceeds our expectations like an orgasm

Most movie musicals have the songs prerecorded so the actor can lip-sync, and this is no exception. However, Judy Garland really did perform live in such a dynamic way as seen here, moving around the stage and whipping that microphone cord. Whenever she would lip-sync for the camera, she would actually sing over herself so the power of her performance would read visually in the same way as it did over the soundtrack. With Judy, what you see is what you get; most of her films and recordings pretty accurately reflect what she looked/sounded like live.

Watch her sing Swani on her Judy Garland Show. She builds and builds all her songs. Fantastic!

Try Judy Garland's live performance "JUDY GARLAND Rockabye Your Baby (with a Dixie melody) AMAZING SOUND QUALITY." It is a 1962 TV special. An amazing performance.

Singers definitely do not always sing sitting down, they can of course but if they are great, they can sing in any position including hanging from a cloth 30 feet in the air as P!nk did with her Grammy performance of "Glitter In the Air." Thanks for the reaction.

There is a poor quality video of Lorna Luft, her younger daughter singing this song. It is incredible.
