, I can provide some general insights into what improvements one might expect from a hypothetical successor to the M1 chip, based on the typical progression in semiconductor technology and Apple's history of chip development:

Performance: The M2 would likely offer improved CPU and GPU performance compared to the M1. This improvement might come from advancements in architecture, a higher clock speed, or an increase in the number of cores.
Energy Efficiency: Apple is known for optimizing its chips for energy efficiency. The M2 would likely provide better power efficiency, resulting in longer battery life for MacBook models and improved thermal management.
Integration: Apple might further integrate components on the chip, which could lead to even better system performance and efficiency. Integration of additional functions like AI accelerators or enhanced security features could be possible.
Graphics: If the M2 is used in MacBook models, it could come with a more powerful integrated GPU, providing better graphics performance for gaming, video editing, and other graphics-intensive tasks.
Neural Engine: Apple's neural engine is crucial for AI and machine learning tasks. Expect the M2 to have an improved neural engine for faster AI processing, which could benefit tasks like image recognition and natural language processing.
Connectivity: Apple may introduce support for newer connectivity standards, such as USB 4 or additional Thunderbolt ports, to enhance data transfer and peripheral connectivity options.
Manufacturing Process: The M2 would likely be manufactured using a more advanced process node (e.g., 5nm or smaller), which can lead to better performance and energy efficiency.
Thermal Management: Apple may improve the thermal management system in MacBooks to take full advantage of the M2's capabilities, allowing for sustained high performance.
It's essential to note that these are general expectations based on the progression of chip technology and Apple's previous chip releases. Actual specifications and features of the M2 processor would depend on Apple's specific design goals and advancements in semiconductor technology at the time of its release. To get accurate and up-to-date information about the M2, it's best to check Apple's official announcements and product specifications.

when the 4 high performance cores are active, that time they consume 3 times the power, plus you had screen at full brightness
all marketing numbers were based on only 4 low perf cores being active
anyways it is an impressive product
