my favorite reviews always include the terms, "I don't hate it", "Decent" and "just fine".

Remember when all we had at this price point was First Act? Budget guitars have come so far since then. Thanks for the great demo/review.

You know, aside from the good reviews and info I get from watching you and the channel, I gotta say, I really, really enjoy coming here when life is extra stressful or I'm getting beat up by anxiety. You have a really calm, chill and funny demeanor, and it really mellows me out. Just wanted to put that out there in case you might see this. Cheers, man.

That headstock is SCREAMING for art deco rotomatic tuners. Black or silver would both be sweet.

With quality guitars like this being made at such affordable prices it makes you really wonder how any Gibson or fender has any right to leave the factory any less than absolutely perfect. Guitars like this really raise the bar for other companies

A 7 lb guitar is easier to swing at the drunks at the dive bar :)

I got bought a Fesley 12 string acoustic 2 weeks ago and I love it. I've been a pro and semi pro musician for over 40 years and this is one of the nicest guitars out of the box I've ever purchased. The price was amazing. I got the guitar and a wireless setup as a package for $220. Wireless system seems to be nice as well. I have only used it once.

I came here for the guitar. I will stay because of you. You are an excellent communicator. You have big brains, but don't show it off. You have a sincere smile (I can read a fake smile a mile away). You clearly have a deep love of music across genres. On top of that you have one of the most open minds (openest?). That's a word now - openest. You have one of the openest mind. Or would it be brain? Openest brain. Yeah, that's better. But seriously dude - thanks for existing, thanks for sharing this vid, and thanks for sharing your love of music. I shall return! Stay awesome.

Keep those big silica gel packs and throw them in your tool boxes to help keep your tools from rusting.

Yeah, Fesley is pretty good. They’ve been putting out better and better.
Whoa, you got a good one. That’s a good fud<ing guitar, there! Damn, you got lucky!
Thanks for putting it thru its paces. I never saw anyone ride a guitar offroad like that. Great work, buddy. It’s so awesome you did that. I’m gonna tell Fesley to give your money back. You got a good one. Keep it, dude.

That very well may be the best $159 electric guitar on Amazon. I dig the matte finish.
(I prefer pronouncing it Fesley, as in Elvis Fesley, thank you very much 👉)

CNC gave an incredible edge to cheap guitars makers. In electric luthery adjustment and accuracy is what makes or brakes a product, give a cheap yet precisely build guitar some good pickups and you get in the ball park of great ones, way more than tone woods benefits that are mainly psychoaccoustic. In fact the main quality we need in woods is their stability so the guitar doesn't move over the years and it can be easily achieved with low grade woods just by cutting and gluing them back together.

I bought a Fesley strat style kit last month and I was surprised by the quality of the pre-finished 3 color sunburst body. Tbf I wasn't expecting much for the price so it wasn't hard to exceed my expectations. I bought a loaded pickguard with alnico slugs and aged yellow vintage color because the stock ceramic pickups are typical budget guitar quality. I did detect a coat of wax underneath the pickup covers though so that's a nice touch for anyone who uses the stock pickups. The neck also felt surprisingly good but the fingerboard was an engineered wood so I replaced it. I bend a lot and play hard so I need a hardwood fingerboard. I can't speak to the playability of the material for other play styles. I swapped out the tuners for ones that look like vintage klusons but have a locking mechanism. The included tuners were typical for budget and mid-range priced guitars. The saddles were the cheap die cast kind so I took some pressed steel saddles from my parts box and replaced those too. If I was forced to choose only one part to replace it would be the saddles and it isn't even close. I despise those saddles. Even with all the work I put into it I still paid less overall than I would have if I bought a finished body from one of the big parts sellers and I got a pretty accurate looking pre-CBS partscaster strat. It looks like a Fender Vintage II '62 and plays really well after a setup. Definitely worth considering whether you're a novice kit builder, looking for an inexpensive instrument and don't mind a little diy, or an experienced maker of partscasters looking for a cheap starting point.

I thank you for your review. I have watched several videos on this guitar as I have been contemplating buying it because of its price point. However, I do not want to jump in with 2 feet until I am more advanced player. This is the most comprehensive look at this Guitar. Thank you again!

@23:33 If a guitar company knows they are sending a guitar to a reviewer, wouldn't they have a tech go over it with a fine-tooth comb first?

I remember my first guitar. It was from Sears. A strat style that weight roughly twice what a real Strat weighed. Got what a boat anchor! It was $150 ish. Got what a time to learn guitar now! You can get pro level gear for a fraction what it used to cost when I started.
