UBE HALAYA is a sweet classic Filipino dessert made of purple yam, butter, evaporated milk and condensed milk. It is usually used in many ube flavored recipes like breads, pastries, cakes, cookies and more. You can eat it plain or treat it as a jam for your pandesal or add it to other desserts such as halo-halo and ice creams.

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kilo Purple Yam Root / Ube (Boiled until tender)
- 2 cups Sugar
- 300 ml. Condensed Milk
- 410 ml. Evaporated Milk
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 tsp. Vanilla (Optional)
- Violet Food Color (Optional)

Ito yun niluluto namin ng nanay ko! Nung bata ako ang Hirap mag kayod tapos mag luto kasi hindi mo pwede siya tigilan ng halo😂 hangang maluto pero pag luto na! Ang daling kainin! Saglit Lang tapos n😂

I just tried your recipe today and it came out good! This is my first try on making ube halaya and I am happy that it was a success! Hindi pala ganun kahirap, you just have to be patient in mixing. 😅But I didn’t use 2 cups of sugar though since I don’t want it to be too sweet, 1 cup was just right to our taste. Thanks for sharing!😊
