Great video. I am a fellow youtuber myself (educator) and I absolutely agree with you. Part of the problem here is leadership is people building, and most Heathens would rather fight with each other to build themselves, not realizing that building others would build their reputation to be remembered by others after their deaths.

I have been a Heathen for 9 years and still don't have a good grasp. I plan on reading all the primary sources again and taking notes this time. I am bad at remembering specifics and I tend to get lost in theories and hypotheses like you said. Also I like to read new books so I stray from the primary sources. Good video!

Hey! My beard never hurt anyone . . . well . . . according to my wife and kids it did . . . but in it's defense, it was very young.

This is a great video and probably should be required viewing for anyone new to Heathenry/Asatru. There are just way too many leaders out there like this. On top of that, many of them are just power hungry and often suppress dissenting voices.

We definitely need to be able to divide what's actually historical and what's just belief.

Finding proper English Anglo-Saxon work isn't easy as so much is conflated with Norse or self believed bits.

Heathenry is put in the heart by the Gods. It's being selfsuffient and loving of his neighbors. The God's don't want sacrifice of others or killing of innocent animals but to sacrifice of self to suffer for others and the God's. The Christian's have destroyed all are history and families. Yet here we are.
