Our New Cooking Show | Arroz con Nilda

Okay, we don't really have a new cooking show but I love having my mom on here to help me show you guys some of my favorite meals that I'm learning to make..

Today's Meal: Arroz Mamposteao mmmmm, delicious!

-Green Pepper
-Recaito (Sofrito)
-Oregano
-Olive Oil
-Tomato Sauce
-Cilantro
-Minced Garlic
-Your Choice of Protein

I vote Nilda Adrienne’s Mom should have her own channel. She comes across as such a sweet, humble down to earth woman who leads without a title. Nilda rice and white beans was also my favorite growing up. My Titi use to buy the fresh white beans from the Marqueta and cook it with fresh ham it was absolutely delicious 😋 . I am 73 years old and I believe one of the reasons food taste and smell so good while we were growing up was because of the organic way it was grown. Everything was fresh and not GMO modified. I truly missed the good old times when my Mom and Aunts got together and cooked. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone 😢. PS Nilda, please come back and show us how to make Eggplant Parmigiana.

I love how you have this treasure with your mother. My mother passed away in February and I have a few treasures of us together but this will be a prized jewel to you one day. Keep doing these with your family talking about your heritage, it will be a beautiful gift for you and your family one day.

15:30 You and your mom should do a cookbook together, that be so great, especially so the next generation will have the recipes and won't have to figure them out like how your mom has been trying to make the white rice with white beans but doesn't know the recipe so it doesn't come out the same. So making a cookbook with your mom is a great idea so you and the next generation will have the recipes written down and not have to guess how your mom made your favorite foods once she's gone.
