I am an Ocean girl and this really hurts my heart. I wish everyone can do their parts to try save our Ocean and it's inhabitants. This was very informative, never knew it was so polluted. Excellent solutions. We all can make a change.

Nice documentary. I believe we (in my country at leadt) ARE changing the way we create, use and dispose of plastics. However, we can only do this in conjunction with businesses, government policy, education and encouragement.

For example, I see many more people using reusable coffee cups and water bottles than new ones, packaging is gradually changing to recyclable products including alginate based "plastics", stores now charge for bags to discourage people buying new bags, reusable bags are sold cheaply just about everywhere and there is becoming a culture of "It's not cool to use plastics" and I believe this kind of "social shaming" has been responsible for changes where I live. I'm in my 40s now and I know it's my generation that have been largely responsible for this, but I'm finding Milennials are more eco conscious and that gives me hope that things will change beyond my lifetime.

There remains so much more to do and we are just one tiny island, but somebody has to lead the way. Hopefully we can learn from each other and turn the tide on plastic pollution.

Our planet is so beautiful but we take advantage of it everyday. wow more micro plastic in the ocean than stars in the galaxy’s Milky Way. You know how many stars are in the Milky Way y’all. Wow just wow. We need to fix this
