By now you know quality score is crucial to PPC success. Getting a QS of 10 out of 10 for a keyword can make it much more profitable.

It acts as a multiplier to your max cpc to calculate your estimated aggregated ad rank. Meaning you won’t pay as much as your competition for clicks on the search results page.

There are 3 main factors that make up QS, expected CTR, ad relevancy and landing page experience.

It’s a crucial factor and not as obvious as you think to optimize.
You may also be surprised at the definition of what QS actually is.

Great video ! I do believe that over years Google was tweaking the QS algorithm in their favour so the highest bid gets a better score . I do remember 10 years ago where I could have branded keywords for as low as 0.2 . Nowadays they are starting at 0.15 -0.20 . Ten times fold !

Wow never heard the ‘try a new account if yours is old’ one before might try it I’ve watched every QS video on YouTube and struggling to see how a 10% CTR is going to be below average consistently for half my keywords

yep, our corporate brand clicks have jumped from .30-.35 cpc a couple years ago to around $1.50 cpc, currently.

Just a few questions:
1) According to Google and its algorithms, is there a difference between an ‘account quality score’, a ‘single Ad quality score, ’ and a ‘campaign quality score’?
2) How would you optimize a brand name quality score on exact match search ?

Thank you for a very informative video. Ive been wondering about how google manipulates the bidding. Occasionally, I pay a premium to get to the top of the list, and then when I drop my bid to a low amount, and even if no one else is bidding on the same key word phrase, Google does not show my ad.

A question? Where can I see my quality score. A pity you didn't show an example for newbies like me. You say there is no competition for google search ads but what about Bing (Microsoft ads)? I have used them. Microsoft even has an import option which will copy all your Google campaigns to Microsft ads and also update them regularly.

To be fair, for myself, since beginning of my PPC life, quality score means nothing, I have a better ctr than all of my competitors and happy with my conversion rate.

I have had keywords of 4/10 giving me more conversions than those of 10/10.... how can that be?

I just couldn't watch this clip. Loved the accent. But the constant movement of the hands was so off putting I watched the next vid instead.
