Great content. I've been struggling with firm sand lately and have not been able to GIOTG well. I wish there were abundant practice facilities where I live with firm sand bunkers to get into the dirt and just figure it out. My 58 degree wedge has 10 bounce. I'll be using that a lot at the places Im playing.

Learning about and selecting the best bounce wedge for the lie has changed how I approach most short game shots significantly. I used to try to go with a formula for carry distance and roll on most chips and pitches, then I'd end up making a decent swing and chunking it or skull-humping it because I'd either picked to little bounce for a thick lie or too much bounce for a tight lie.

Continue to enjoy your content. It may be sacrilege, however not being religious whatsoever, I've taken your work and combined it with just a little bit of the DECADE tee shot philosophy and it's been tremendous for me. Knocking on the door of 70s....

I have 9 degrees. And even that doesn't do so well out of bunkers with no sand. Sand seems to be the first thing a club stops buying when it's short of money.
In Thailand I play some courses with very gritty sand and it's useful for that.
The only time it's not very useful is fairway shots after a good downpour in Thailand. It's just goes down deep and never comes back up. I generally open the face a fraction to add some bounce. I do the same with my 50.
Sometimes I think I should buy a 13 degree just to take on holiday once every 2 years.
