Great video, clean and right to the point. Been using the Kreg system for about 16 years now. I realize they wanted to improve "something" but I can't recall there being more than a few times I was jumping between thicknesses. Most I would think use 3/4" material for box construction and frame construction for an entire job. If somebody keeps jumping between 1/2" and 3/4" then they're probably not working very efficiently. Time is money in my case. Do all of one, and then the other.
Also, I guess you'd get used to having to turn your drill to the side so that you don't bang the top of the guide assembly with the handle of your drill like I noticed you did. I'll probably stick with my K5's for awhile till I get bored and just want a change. Other than that. First time buyers...go for it! Kreg make the best pocket hole system out there.

Did the drill bit cut out a bigger hole at the exit hole? I just bought one and decided to put the bit in manually before I use it with a drill but it gets stuck at the plastic end of the guide ??? Is this normal?

The Porter Cable QuikJig, which has now been discontinued but I'm glad I got before it was, did all of this years ago...and as an added feature, you don't have to adjust the collar on the drill bit for the thickness of the wood. This was a case where the better product did not win the war.

I see it fits the 2x4's 1.5" thickness. Does this work with the larger drill bit and screws required for the old HD system? Great review btw- thanks!

Question: After watching your reviews for the 520PRO and 720PRO, how would you decide which model to purchase? I'm a DIYer who has owned and used a K5 model for several years and built a number of cabinet/face-frame projects for a home remodel. These both look more versatile, and I'm eager to upgrade. Would appreciate any guidance about model selection. Thanks for your videos!

So since you still have to take time and adjust the drill bit stop collet, this jig is just the same as those before and nothing more than a gimmick waste of money
