Is the Pi 3 B+ Faster than the all-new Pi 3 A+ ?
We know the A+ has less ram and a smaller footprint but did the Pi Foundation sacrifice any Raw performance?

Pretty much as expected. One important note is that the throttling behaviour on the 3B+ was changed a few months after launch, potentially impacting performance - it now throttles to 1.2GHz at 60 degrees instead of 70. To get the old behaviour back, put "temp_soft_limit=70" in the config.txt file (you can't set it any higher). This *should* work on the 3A+ as well, but I haven't tested this.

512 MB ram is bad for Raspbian usage. Sometimes even 1 GB is not adequate on 3B+.

There is almost no reason to buy the 3a+ over the 3b+. The difference in price, power draw and form factor are negligible. If you want the power of the third gen Pies, at less cost, then buy a used 3b. For retro gaming, the extra ports are pretty useful to have

Overclocking dude!
Would also be nice if you could point a thermal camera on it, when overclocking, so you'd know which chips need additional cooling.
I would like to see some overclocking done on this, with added passive as well as active air cooling.

As well as some 3DMark and passmark scores.

This is the first Pi that I'm going to pass on. I just can't justify buying one. Maybe if i need another pi later on I'll reconsider.
