Speech therapist discusses Biden’s stutter ahead of final debate

Joe Biden doesn’t think of himself as a stutterer.

At least, not anymore. But speech therapist Craig Coleman says the former vice president hasn’t completely overcome his stutter as much as he’s learned to manage it.

Situations like Thursday’s upcoming presidential debate — with time limits and a likelihood of interruptions — are prime scenarios for stutters to manifest. I know a boy in my class from high school who couldn't stand up when he'd be asked to say his part of his input as we do..but I'd feel soooo sorry for him cos he'd be so shy and be aware of it and be denting his confidence. I have seen his throughout my teenage year..and by god I'm testament to how he's flourished from those stammering days ..he's a trendy guy with a great personality and a stunning girlfriend who's been by his side and loved him which gave him the boost in morale and the confidence all round...id love to be where he is..im single and live in a bachelor's pad....and fashionable stable but I don't have the confidence around women cos i think of my looks aren't appealing to girls so that's a issue cos i got rejected twice in my life and never asked a girl out since..so I'd then be in toxic relationships which were founded in clubs and bars and highly materialistic oriented..that never ever worked..im 36 now..and had 2 females that just were companions with prodigal interests which simply is toxic and never works...thank you for reading this stay safe stay blessed

I'm not denying he has a stutter, but it's not the act of his stutter that makes people question a "cognitive decline" its the fact that he jumps from subject to subject so many times in one sentence. So by the time he's finished his statement the last thing said is miles away from the question that was asked in the first place
