Hard Decision. Amsoil and Motul. Love them both.

Before ever discovering Amsoil I have tried Motul on some occasions and it is an excellent brand especially on farm equipment involving differentials and generators but the Amsoil products are much smoother, no, considerably more smoother than the Motul. Would still use Motul and if not possible for a certain viscosity, Shell, but now an Amsoil convert.

Eben, I appreciate your objectivity in testing all of the products that you do. You call a spade a spade. I know that Motul makes great products, but I'm hooked on Amsoil. I don't think any competitor has beaten Amsoil in any tests.

Good morning, congratulations for your work, I would like to try Amsoil on my Audi tt 2.0 tfsi 147kw 200hp BWA engine year 2008 with 185, 887km. I have always used Motul 8100 x-cess 5w40 with replacement every 7000km. Consumption 1 liter x 4000km. Thank you for your help, which Amsoil do you recommend?

Personally love Motul I use the xcess gen 2 5w40 in my WRX STI and had great oil analysis with black stone. But I made the switch to Puröl recently you should check them out

Your the amsoil expert I have a fully built wrx running e85 the oil starts to thin out faster due to the e85 will the 10w40 dominator oil be fine or does it have to much zinc

I changed from Castrol to Motul 5w-40, in my E46 320d and it's noticably better. Castrol declined in quality lately.
