Adam Scott did a fantastic job here, but I so wish Veep had managed to get David Letterman for the role like they had originally intended. Apparently, Letterman declined because he didn't want to be behind a talk show desk ever again, even a fake one. Pity, really. All of Scott's lines seem tailor made for Letterman. Scott even nailed Letterman's characteristically dry delivery with an undercurrent of boiling rage.
