If you kill patches and you only see his armor sitting there then you missed out and have to wait for New game Plus just like me

For those confused on where to find him, when you spawn back to volcano manor go to the room behind it. On the right you should find him.

Would've been nice if you mentioned not to kill the boss at the volcano beforeall this, i found him before finding the front of the manor

DO NOT KILL RYKARD. Get the letter from Patches first (he's at the front of the manor). If you kill Rykard first, Patches will not offer you the letter, thus making this armour unobtainable.

If patches isn't giving you the letter when you talk to him at the manor try buying something from him and then engage in a conversation again and he should give you the letter. ( this at least seemed to have worked for me, since I didn't get the letter until I bought something him)

A good thing you should of mention is that where is patches when you get back to volcano manor, anyone that can’t find him, he should spawn in the room behind you.

IF PATCHES ISNT GIVING YOU THE LETTER GO TALK TO THE LADY WITH THE KNIGHT BEHIND HER THEN TALK TO PATCHES, WORKED FOR ME

If hes not there, talk to him at the cave until he says he will set up a shop, then he should appear at volcano manor (well, he did for me at least)

If you did all the steps and still didnt find patches upon first arrival in volcano manor, try fast traveling elsewhere and then fast travel back he then appeared on the floor where he should be for me.

important note here: After defeating patches, talk to him and make up for the fight (yes that’s an option) after that he’ll appear at volcano manor

I finished the volcano manor and fought Radagon BEFORE finding murkwater cave... I'm pissed off.

I went too far into the game to get the armor set, I had forgotten I got this letter from patches before beating other bosses. Just started new game plus anyway, so soon I’ll be able to get this set

Dont kill rykard before talking to tanith and patches or it axes the quest line.
