I just got the new version and changed grease right away and when putting it back together accidentally grabbed my spare shinemate 5" dust devil backing plate to my suprise fit perfectly and seems to run smother with it! Works great!

Just got one of these new SPTA cordless polishers for Christmas. Haven't had the chance to try it out yet but looking forward to it. I already have the PXE-80 smaller cordless polisher and I love that thing which prompted me to buy this one mainly due to the cordless feature. Once you go cordless, you never want to use a corded polisher again because it is just so darned convenient and makes polishing vehicles so much easier. I got this instead of the Flex or the DeWalt because it was almost half the price and it seemed like a pretty good machine after watching this video. Plus I only use my polishers a couple times per year so this seemed perfect.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REVIEWING THIS OH MY GOD! I remember like a year ago I returned my 1st Gen SPTA because I wanted to wait if they would revise it, and here we are with Gen 2. My issue with Gen 1 is that sticker for the LED, it vibrated a little too much for my liking, and additional batteries was a bit out of my budget, since I was starting out. Now, DAM THAT MOTOR SOUNDS MMPPHHHFFFF! I dont know what it is, but I love it when motors sound "electric" or "gear-less" for a smooth frequency, rather than clacky sounds making your ears ring for a while without PPE. Thank you MiranGang for reviewing, and your wife phil, basically summarized it xD If she enjoyed the machine, then you KNOW its good! Sending love from SoCal!

I'm going to order a cordless polisher for three main reasons. So I don't have to waste gas running my generator, less wear on my generator, and not having to deal with the cord getting tangled.
After seeing this review, I'm buying this one.

Thank you Phil. I just purchased my SPTA 15mm v2 cordless polisher and I think it's a much more refined machine compared to my Adam's Swirl Killer 15mm cordless. I like the fact that it has a dial, is much quieter than the Adam's, and has a trigger switch. I was a little hesitant but I am glad I made the choice. Getting it off Amazon was very easy. Again, thanks.

Thanks for posting about the spta cordless polisher!! I ordered one, and I am very happy with it!!
In order to keep on running, you need a third battery indeed. I just bought a second polisher, hahahaha. This way I have 4 batteries, tw chargers, AND a spare polisher, may the spta ever fail.

How long can a battery last if using full speed the whole time? And do you really need to use full speed the whole time because it's weaker compared to a wired one?

Certainly looks improved but I feel the version 2 needs more speed and torque especially on speed max which is 7
