. Also known as a forced rotation polisher, this new budget friendly gear driven polisher from SPTA fills that need for one polisher that can do it all. Being gear driven it will not stall and at the same time it is easier to master compared to a rotary. This machine is the best of both rotary and dual action/random orbital, but not a master of either category. Best used for one step corrections and enhancements to save you time. The kit comes with everything you need to begin paint correction! Makita 18v batteries will fit this tool.

Hi, may I ask what amperage those chargers push out to charge those batteries please?

Ooooh nice, I've been waiting for a proper review on one of these before pulling the trigger.

I grabbed the newer 12v mini polisher they have and I've been happy with it so far. Idk if you're seen it or not but it's a solid little machine that would recommend anybody curious about it try out.

Also I can confirm my SPTA cordless 15mm da works great with my Makita batteries

Tbh, ultracut is my do-it-all compound. There’s very little I can’t use it as a 1-step for.

Now 300 bucks, for that price you might as well get the Flex 3401.

I like mine. I noticed the gearbox gets a bit hot running at full spead, but it definitely gets the job done.

You should test the new SPTA wool pads from their professional range. Sold by 3 there is purple (heavy cut), beige (medium cut) and orange (light cut), it works really well! And really good quality. Their new microfiber pads are also very good, gray (heavy cut), black (medium cut) and white (finishing). I tested it and I'm happy with it. Especially the microfiber professional polishing pad, gray for heavy cutting and white for finishing 👍

How does this compare to the 15mm cordless? Is it more powerful? Does it cut better? I have the 15mm and am considering getting this one as well. Keep up the good work!!

Have you figured out how to change the grease in it yet? I just got mine today and the was no great at all on the plastic gears under the plate.

In my opinion, you really can’t come to a conclusion of the cut/finish of a fiber pad until the fibers are fully primed. I would have liked to see another pass with the DIY wool pad and polish. I bet you would have got much better results on the second pass. Thanks for the video.

Does it spin anticlockwise and what size throw? How long do the batteries last and is it less powerfull than cabled?

*I'm definitely ordering this girl in a couple minutes!... Honest question, now that you have some time on a gear driven da and you said you have plenty of rotary experience, will you ever use a random da again? 😂😂 I learned in a rotary and of course I grabbed some forced rotation when they came out, I can't make myself use a random da.. Its like watching paint dry* 🤣🤘

I use both rotary and free spinning d.a.’s and I’ve been often tempted by forced rotation. Eliminating stalling w/o creating holograms is very appealing to me. If China is an issue Makita has a “manufacturing and assembly” plant in Buford Georgia where they produce their forced rotation machine. They have even expanded the plant in recent years. And btw my Flex PXE80 was made in China. I had thought the price was to cover German labor, but it’s not.
