Absolutely right. This is, by far, the best car i've owned. Totally misunderstood and under appreciated.

I love my Type S, most people misunderstand it. And many of those who knock it can’t afford it, let alone its competitors. They cling to stats to try and belittle it. But; you have to drive this car - to understand it.

This is not a track car, that’s what the Type R is for, this is a perfect street car. Reliable, Dynamic, Luxurious, Quick and Fun.

As far as 0-60: when my 23’ Type S was stock it ran 0-60 (Dragy) 4.67s Sport+/ S Mode, on a Brake Boosted Launch.

This car shines in the corners with its mechanical torque vectoring. Not ‘fake’ electronic braking torque vectoring. As far as most videos on YouTube, the BIGGEST mistake almost everyone made is NOT PUTTING THE POWERTRAIN IN (S) MODE. This allows better manual shifting, and allows for shorter up and downshift times.

*_You are one of the first Reviews who drove this properly, thanks for the review!_*

I saw one of these for the first time in a parking lot. It called me over to it and I proceeded to drool inwardly... Such a cool look. Excited to know that it has such fantastic-ness under the hood. And the red interior? Sweet!

SOUNDS INCREDIBLE!!!! Never would have guessed anything but a full-on sports car would be putting out those popping noises upon shifting.

Thanks for the helpful review.

Outstanding review! Currently driving a GS350 F-Sport. TL Type S is a strong contender for my next car. Great to hear your feedback!

Is the M340i the best car in this segment? Yes. But the Type S started to make more sense once I started adding packages onto the BMW, to be comparatively equipped the Bimmer cost almost 20K $CAD more than the Type S. The Type S is fast enough for 99.99% of the situation during daily driving and I'm fine with it being the slowest car in this segment, 5.1 seconds is still pretty damn fast for a street car. I'm sure B58 is relatively reliable compared to past BMW engines but I still don't like the idea that somehow as customers we just have to accept coolant loss, oil leaks, valve cover gasket leaks, replacing the water pump at certain mileage as given. I would still rather trust Acura/Honda for a car that I want to keep for 10 years.

We were in the market for a sport sedan. The Type-S was the top choice for all the reasons you mentioned but my wife wanted the Red Sport. I currently drive an IS500 and completely happy with it. There are some great sedans on the market.

At first I was skiddish about the touchpad but after a few days of using it, I don’t wanna go back to touchscreens. The pad allows me to keep my eyes forward on the road for the most part

I absolutely love my Type R, and have owned it since 2017, but I'm ready for a more mature looking vehicle a comfy commuter. I'm trading my R for a Type S in a day or two. I loved the Type S when I test drove it last week.

The touch pad is crazy easy! Critics always fuss about it, but its superior to a )(*%9 tuchscreen where your hand is bouncing around everywhere. Where you touch on the pad, is where you tuch on the screen (unless you use AA/ACP) Bolster.... its adjustable. Love mine. '23.

Youre correct - in a few years, sports sedans will not be made any longer and this TLX will be in high demand on used market. I have the TLX ASpec (not type s) and its awesome...also in Canada!

As a 2021 owner.. I can say the vehicle is *DECENT* I literally have the same spec as in the video. My experience has not been great.. my transmission went out at 31K miles. Acura corporate replaced for me of course cause of warranty but the new transmission is not acting right currently. The car is definitely underpowered and heavy. Lacks luxury features and the quality control hasn’t been the best as well.. i give it a a solid 6.5/7 out of 10.

I have 2023 Tlx Type S. This car have issues with navigation system wiring. After owning the car for a month, the whole navigation system went blank/ blackout. Acura dealership fixed it . So far no issues. If your getting this car get an extended warranty on electrical/ navigation system cause it will be costly to repair. Warranty covers only up to 24, 000 miles or 2 years which ever comes first.

These are flawed but rad. Performance is in the back of its class but for this kind of car and the driving you'll do in it- who cares. Give me one in Tiger Eye Pearl with Orchid interior. One of the best color combos I've seen in years.

I love mine, I have a full cutback exhaust and air intake and many many other mods

You can also get a bumper to bumper Acuracare warranty on this for up to 8 years/120k miles. None of its competitors offer similar extended warranty plans & peace of mind.
