The disappearing ghoul was quite a mystery:
8:50 You can see the ghoul get sent back to Grubby's base. If you watch the mini map, you can see the ghoul harvest lumber. (It looks like a game of pong.)
11:24 Grubby says "[sucking in air sound] Nerubian!". If you pause here, you can see Grubby switch to a control group with the ghoul in it. You can see the ghoul return on the mini map.
11:59 The ghoul returns at the top of the screen.
12:24 Sadly, after attempting an escape, the ghoul dies. RIP.

At no point did "Lorgar" send anything to attack your base and disrupt your economy. I think that's something that ultimately did him in, because he forced your hero away several times and seemed as though he could have recovered if your acolytes weren't constantly coming out.
