I love his voice actor. His tone wasn't deep and sultry to sound seductive or something. He just sounded like an arrogant b**** and somehow THAT was what made it more genuine. You understood where his emotions went up and down... and he wasn't just some one dimensional and monotonous "cool" dude. He actually sounded human.

What I really like about this scene is that it wonderfully demonstrates Nanami's assertiveness and cleverness. Despite her having no powers and being pressured to have herself be humiliated even further so Tomoe could help her, she refuses. One would expect her to give in but she ultimately chose the option that Tomoe did not expect or desire: bounding him to being a familair, thus making HIM the humiliated one. Nanami may not be the one with great physical capability and cam indeed need help, but her inner willpower and assertiveness is something I admire. Many anime heroines tend to be either overly soft air heads, helpless damsels, OP warriors with little vulnerability, nasty tsunderes towards innocent people, or various combinations. But Nanami is more down to earth as she is generally nice but does not put up with rude, condescending behavior. Perhaps still a bit exagerated (that's anime for you) but one I relate to.

Man, Nanami's such a badass heroine. My fav of all time!! She's not the overly needy and not the overly powerful who can do all. She's basically represented to what the word "human" means. Human with love, weaknesses, strengths, failures, successes, love, and pain altogether looks out for others. This thing that she possesses made even the gods and yokai/spirits bow down to her.

This anime is so great! 10 out of 10! And I really loved the fact that for a second Tomoe forgot about his pettiness and looked legit worried for her before they asked "If you say that line he will help you, right Tomoe?!" and he replied "Yes... I would... Come on, say it", it looked like he was about to rescue her regardless, that slight detail really enticed me because of it's kindness within
