You have to watch Greg Doucette after Athlean-X to avoid knowledge imbalances.

Greg Doucette is right 99.7% of the time, but he makes an error at the start of the video. Jeff didn't say that dumbbell fly's on a bench can damage your pec, he said that the heaviness of the weight needed for strength gains in the pectorals is too heavy and causes instability and potential injury to the anterior shoulder capsule. Other than that, Greg has it spot on as usual.

At this point Jeff is just trying to put out more intricate videos cause he's covered everything already

I've fucked up my shoulder doing a dumbell flye before, so I'm gonna have to agree on that one (not the worst but definitely sub optimal)

Been doing dips since I started my calisthenics journey. And I can say, it is not for everyone. Be sure to use resistance bands or other forms of support and get used to the motion before risking yourself with shoulder injuries. One of my favourite routines.

I’m still disappointed in myself for how long it took me to realize that Jeff really overcomplicates things like exercise selection.

Failing on decline bench without a spotter is my favorite

I just came across this channel and love it. That being said, Greg is about 10 years from straight up sounding like Gilbert Gottfried

Greg got this 80% right. My main disagreements are the chest flies on the floor are mid-good since A)they force proper form and B)they are safer. I have to say the decline bench press is a must if you are somebody with a sunken chest. If you aren't you can skip but not everyone has genetics like him. Overall good video and better than Jeff's

He's so Shredded that he could say anything about the gym and a lot of people would believe him without question

Jeff is 1000% correct about the regular push-up. He said if you are doing more than twenty. Also said to do weighted push ups or other variations. Demonstrated a better variation. When I first joined the military, I went well above and beyond my mandatory Army training doing push-ups. I wanted to improve my PT test score. Made a little improvement. However, when I started doing dips (had to start on a Gravitron) and doing free weight bench press my push-ups rapidly increased.Even though I was spending far less time on them.

Loving Greg's videos, i realize how much of a lost sheep i was by believing the bullshit being put out there by people online. As a small side note, I'm 30 now but when I was 17-18 in the gym i hurt my back doing the peck deck and lost feeling in one of my legs for months. Even today I'm very careful if I use the peck deck, i def wouldn't describe it as being very safe.

Jeff is all about shoulder impingement so I would agree with him that chest flys and deep full range of motion dips are the most dangerous exercises.
