Microsoft Office 365 gets a new design! The main changes are a rounded look to the Office ribbon bar, and the Undo and Redo buttons are now part of the ribbon. You now also have the ability to completely hide the quick access tool bar.

This new design of Office is currently in beta, available to Office Insiders.

They should rather implement a true dark mode for excel. who needs rounded edges...

Maybe this is a nicer look, but what has been done to address underlying performance issues?

You can hide the names of the buttons on the QAT. I like this new look.

Funny... Just yesterday I was getting annoyed that QAT bar was all way on top. Looking forward to this one change. Thanks for preview. Excited for just that small detail 😆😆

Quick access on top bar is the best screen space saver

Looks like Microsoft applied a fresh coat of paint instead of spackling the cracks.

I don’t like the new position of the quick access bar. It takes up unnecessary space.

I like these short videos introducing new features! Thanks, Leila!!
Also I like the having the QAT below the ribbon. If they are really frequently used commands, they should be closer to your work not farther away on the top of the screen. The Undo/Redo on the ribbon is wasteful and you should revert that back or hide them from the ribbon. Undo/Redo should on the QAT or just use the keyboard shortcuts!!!

Again they re-arrange the banner in their own image, re-arranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic, as it were.

Hi Leila, Thank you for your comprehensible videos showing complex operations in Excel! Can you please make a video on Robotic Process Automation(RPA) in Excel ? Really Appreciate your channel and the way you make even complex things easy to follow!

Sounds nice. I must get used to Outlook search bar moved on top, but I think it is good.

I wish MS stop changing Office. Every iteration since Office 2010 is worst than the previous one. The last changes to saving spreadsheets on Excel cost me a lot of lost work. Just terrible!

I am not seeing the changes to the layout with the Undo Redo as part of the ribbon. Perhaps it is coming in a release soon?

The first thing I’ve done for years is move the QAT below the ribbon… and usually hide the ribbon. Utilizing the keyboard shortcuts inherent to the QAT is one of the best ways you can speed up your Excel experience…

There better be a way to remove the labels on the buttons though. My QAT takes up most of my open workbooks (on big monitors…)
