Kamala Harris attacks Trump and promises to unite Democrats at Wisconsin rally | BBC News

Vice-President Kamala Harris has addressed voters for the first time since she secured enough support to become the Democratic Party's nominee for US president.

She said Donald Trump "wants to take our country backward", speaking at a campaign rally in Milwaukee, in the critical swing state of Wisconsin.

Harris said she will spend the coming weeks uniting the Democratic Party “so we are ready to win in November”.

Can't wait to see how many will vote in the comming US election. So much is at stake but only 64% voted last time. The same goes for Britain where every one wanted change but only 60% voted. What the heck is wrong with these two countries and its voters. 2022 general election in Denmark had a 84% participation. Other countries is typically 70-90% because it is consideret a privilege and duty.

Please VOTE. A few items that many Americans may not know but women prior to the vote had no property rights No Financial rights and legal rights. This changed with the vote for women.
Property rights: Married women could not own property.
Financial rights: Women had to give any money they earned to their husbands.
Legal rights: Husbands had legal authority over their wives, including the right to imprison or beat them. Divorce and child custody laws also favored men.
