Vice President Kamala Harris responds to President Donald Trump's combative tone during his interview with the National Association of Black Journalists and his false assertion that Harris “happened to turn Black” a few years ago. I cannot stress how important it is to vote for someone who will protect pre-existing medical conditions. This policy screwed up my childhood because my mom, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer while working a low-wage job, could not leave without the risk of losing coverage for her treatments. If she had been alive when Obama was president, she could have quit her job and found better-paying work without the fear of losing coverage when her cancer inevitably came back. It absolutely sickens me that Republicans want to allow insurance companies to deny pre-existing coverage again, which will screw over so many who happen to end up being diagnosed during "inconvenient" periods of their working lives. It's literally classism at its most vile - they want the poor to die.
