Young Citizens' Say: Giving Young People Their Say

The Co-operative and the Institute hosted the Young Citizens' Say: Referendum 2011 event for over 250 young people at the Emmanuel Centre, Westminster on Thursday 31st March 2011 to discuss politics and the upcoming AV Referendum.

The Giving Young People Their Say debate was one of the main session of the day and was chaired by Jo Coburn (BBC Political Correspondent and host of The Daily Politics), Mark Harper MP (Conservative and Minister for Political and Constitutional Reform), Simon Hughes MP (Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats), Wes Streeting (Labour Councillor and former President of the National Union of Students), Ashleigh Ansley (Chair of the Lewisham Young Advisors) and Precious (Student).
