Former air force here- I was in processing 5 pallets worth of HP personal PC's and I got to look at the invoice, we were spending $1200 on each one. I did a quick google search of each pc, and found out I could get the same exact pc from walmart for $750. About 40 PC's per pallet.
For those that don't like math, that's $90k on one delivery that we overpaid because we were contractually obligated to order from one company and were banned from shopping around.
