It literally feels like you just announced your pregnancy yesterday and now here you are just a few weeks away from her arrival! Best of luck!

A baby sling so you can "wear" the baby for lots of bonding without hurting your back. It also leaves your hands free so you can do stuff and carry baby at the same time. I didnt get one with my first, but I did with my second, and it was the best thing! I am the kind of person who never wants to put the baby down, lol. Cant get enough of their sweet cuddles and adorableness.

Enjoy! Im very excited for you guys.

Everything looks beautiful, really. Two things:

1. You're going to want the clothing drawer for one size at a time probably. We would just store all the rest of the clothing sizes not being worn in the closet or something so that in a rush, we could grab anything from the drawer and it worked. That one drawer will hold onesies, zip ups, pants, socks, mittens, hats, and be easy to fill at each size probably.

2. The crib, while gorgeous, has a bumper in there right now. Here in the US, they're still sold and lots of parents use them but they're not recommended by any safe sleep organization at all, especially since that one isn't mesh. SIDS is rare so don't start feeling like it's an everyday threat, but crib bumpers have a history of increasing the risk. Some states and other countries have banned their sale even. If you've looked into it and feel like it's worth it, of course you're the parents and it's totally up to you. I'd just feel awful if I didn't mention it.

Love the minimalist colour decals and theme. Very natural and pretty. You’re so laid back about it all, it’s refreshing. So excited for you both xx

I wanted to tell you two affordable things that I couldn’t have done without when my daughter was a baby. The first is a Phillips Avent room & bath thermometer. You can keep it in the nursery to monitor the temperature, then just throw it in the bath so that the water is never too hot. The other thing was cloth nappies. I never used them as nappies, but we used them on the change mat, as burping cloths, underneath baby on the floor etc. Get a dozen and you’ll use them constantly.

Nursery looks very cute, you might have to look into getting more storagespace in the future…. And the orange shirt looks lovely, and even if you have had some tough days you look amazing and glowing as always

The room looks absolutely beautiful, I’m a bit obsessed with those wall decals 😍 But please consider removing the cot bumper from inside the cot when little one gets here, I’m not sure about where you’re from but in the UK they’re not recommended as they pose a suffocation risk to baby while they sleep.

Such a pretty nursery!! I love your crib! As a midwife I just have to point out that cot bumpers are super dangerous (and shouldn’t even be sold tbh). SIDS safe sleeping has heaps of info on them. Good luck!

Soo yeah... I was always more of a children"hater" but seeing u guys being so happy kinda cheers me up. So, thanks for all the joy u share. 😅💞

One thing: I remember myself loving a little puppet with a music box inside of it. I am stilling taking it around when there is something really meaningful happening in my life, because no matter the outcome, the music makes me feel protected like when my parents were singing...nowadays it usually sits on a little wooden bench in front of the window and keeps me company sooo yeah... I would wish everybody to have like this little safety melody. ❤️

I hope my english isn’t to bad. Didn’t had to write in it for years now.

This might be the motivation I need to get ready for my son's arrival. So many clothes to wash, fold and organize, crib needs set up, and everything else! Oh man, I have 5.5 weeks left

Hi Tina! First off Congrats! Just a couple tips since I recently had a baby and learned a lot about safe sleep and reducing SIDS.
1) Crib bumpers and fabric canopy are never recommended. They are suffocation and strangulation hazards. No harm in baby sticking out limbs out of crib without them.
2) Crib needs to be at least 3ft from windows in case glass shatters or in case of fire and window needs to be broken.
3) All furniture needs to be 1 foot away from crib, as they are entrapment hazards.
As a First time mom it was hard to find info on safe sleep, but when we know better, we do better to keep our bundles of joy safe.🧡
Best wishes to you and your little family, your nursery is beautiful!!!

** Edit to add that although it might seem convenient to store items in crib, they are safety tested for weight limit listed on the manual only. The structural integrity can be compromised when weight limit is exceeded and voids the crib from being safe. Weight can add up super quick.

put all your nappy changing supplies in the top draw under the changetable- creams, nappies, nappy disposable bags, etc

Aveeno baby wash is good for sensitive skin, as well as a small tub for the baby to bathe in. I would also recommend stocking up on nose sprays and suckers, as well as some sorts of medicines (for when baby starts teething, gets congested, sick w whatever’s going around that month, etc) Zarbee’s has some good, more natural options! Teeth-ers, baby toothbrushes… Spit up towels are a MUST. If you prefer books that aren’t damaged beyond being able to read, child-proof reading books are the way to go (some are made of a thicker material, I’ve seen others made of fabric even). I forget what they’re called, but play over-hangs for tummy time are important earlier on before baby can crawl. If noise travels in your house then some kind of white noise for the nursery would help, a baby monitor is a must (and can be found w white noise options). A lamp for closer to bedtime and waking up so there’s no abrupt light. Remember that most babies poop up their backs, if not spit up WILL find a way past the bib, so you’ll need a couple change of clothes throughout the day, as well as for baby lol. Nipple cream, pumps for when you’re full up and baby isn’t hungry. If you’re not sure what developmental stage baby should be at/want daily tips for peace of mind, I’d recommend an app ( I’ve used baby sparks periodically when I run out of ideas/need tips) Aveeno, CeraVe, Aquaphore, Eucerin, Vanicream. All have good creams for baby, some have diaper rash creams as well as for eczema. Cradle cap cream helps, but eventually that should go away on its own. Child proofing the house is important down the line (mainly everything attached to the wall so baby can’t pull/knock down anything on themselves). Lastly, make sure to have time for yourselves! Having a baby isn’t an exchange of their life for your social one, going on a date or simply needing a break is normal, honestly. Find someone you trust to watch baby, ask for updates so you don’t lose your mind the first couple times away from baby, and have fun! Try socializing baby as much as safely possible, kids learn most just from being around others and observing, especially other kids closer to their age. Just do whatever you two think is right for baby, I’m confident you’re going to be great parents!!🥰💕
