🏡Oakland™ Holly - Perfect Screening Plant🌲 - In this video I cover Oakland™ Holly from he Southern Living Plant Collection. It is an upright narrow growing evergreen shrub that makes an amazing screening plant. It can also be used on the corner of a foundation to create some height close to the house. It is a super low maintenance plant that is self-maintaining for the most part.

Oakland™ Holly will grow in the full sun or part shade, but the more sun the fuller the growth and the less pruning required to keep it full. I shot this video at the old house back in October. Thanks for watching.

I really love my Oaklands, and have two separate hedges of them. One of the hedges will be allowed to grow tall for screening, and the other will be kept about 4' for a sense of enclosure out by the street, my version of a 'fence'. The oak-leaf-look of the foliage is just so gorgeous and soft. I also have several more traditional holly varieties and enjoy them also, but the oak leaf have a special appeal to me.
