Robin™ Holly - Fast Growing Screening Plant - In this video I cover Robin™ Holly . It is an upright growing Holly with lustrous dark foliage and red winter berries. This has always been one of my favorite upright Hollies.

I like these short videos devoted to one specific plant. It makes it easier for others to find your channel too!

When you said " It looks wicked but it's just not" that sold me on this variety!

I have one in the front corner of my house that I was thinking of getting rid of but now I'm going to wait till winter time to move it to my back yard. Mine is about 3 ft high and I think I just found the perfect spot for it. Thanks for the info!!

Lots of great qualities. Maybe comes with the name😆 On a serious note I've never noticed it. Great option!

I bought a Robin Holly because you rated it so well. But you suggested Festive Holly as the pollinator. I have 2 Nellie Stevens and just ordered a Blue Prince and Blue Princess Holly combo because they compliment each other. I saw on-line that the Blue Prince Holly is also pollinator for the Nellie Stevens to help give it even more berries. My question is will the Blue Prince also help produce more berries for the Robin Holly or should I get a Festive Holly? Thanks so much for your videos.

Is it possible to keep it 8 feet wide while allowing it to grow to 20 feet? Or will keeping it narrow prevent it from growing tall?

I planted a Monrovia Kids Holly Combo last fall. And it (they) only put on inches of growth this spring. I’m hoping it’s just spreading roots and I’ll get feet of growth next year. Have it on a corner of a foundation as a screen from the neighbors porch. And now it’s only 2-3 feet tall.

Just bought a house down in NC, I have a narrow space between my house and neighbors' backyard (8/9'). Area gets half day of full sun, what would be the best holly for privacy?

Jim,

Love the videos!

Can you do a video on American Holly? I am considering using as a screening plant/hedge in Zone 7…

Thank you!

With less spines on the leaves I'm guessing the deer will enjoy browsing it?
