Oh, wow... somebody who actually adjusts their mic volume to an appropriate level before recording a tutorial!  Same volume as the ads!  Good work.

This helped me much! I just spent over an hour looking at tutorials on how to add a camera to follow a player with all this complicated script. You just simplified this in a way that I can actually understand! Your tutorials are so helpful. Keep them up--they are helping me impress my PhD supervisors ;)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Never scale characters in the way shown here - you're immediately changing the rules of how physics will apply in your game, you should stick with the specific scale of a character and design your environments as appropriate. This is why some beginners ask why physics appears to move slowly - because they've scaled things way bigger as they didn't look accurate on screen. A cube in Unity is 1 metre (or 1 unit) and can act as a measure - as such characters like this will be as expected - around 1.7m tall, so scaling your character up or down will change how much they move over time, so as a rule, stick to sensible measurements for things! Sorry for the negative sounding comment, just wanna make sure people aren't caught out! thanks for making the tutorial.

I've been struggling a lot with creating a custom 3rd person controller on unity 5. And I don't like the one they have set up on unity 5 as a default. I've been trying to make one where the guy rotates with the mouse and moves and strafes with wasd, crouches and jumps. I've been ripping my hair out trying to figure out how to be able to make a 3rd person shooter game because those are pretty rare nowadays and i think they're pretty unique and it gives a fresh new feel compared to the loads of fps games out there. So if you had the time could you do a series on making a custom third person shooter?

Thanks for your great tutorials.    Is there any chance you could look at the script to see why when you press the backwards arrow or the S key the camera just vibrates wildly.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a nice tutorial, but it would have been nice to actually show us how to switch out the mesh, as that is the part I'm having trouble with.
