That 3in 856 defender is a good looking piece.

For me, I had a Smith and Wesson m&P bodyguard 38 special ahead issues within the first 100 rounds. I sent it back to Smith and Wesson and I got it back two and a half months later. So I guess maybe they were really backed up when I did it. That was like 6 months ago I consider myself as Smith and Wesson guy. I have three other Smith and Wesson's all semi-autos and I only have one other revolver which is a Taurus 605 poly protector which has been a great gun. I never had to send it back so I don't know how that warranty is but I would assume on a normal day. Hopefully Smith and Wesson will be a lot better than 2 and 1/2 months

I like that the 856 has 6 shots instead of 5 and I also like that the crane arm is inside the cylinder. I just think that's a big plus.

Spring kits and gunsmithing are available on both revolvers to both smooth and lighten the trigger pulls if desired.

I have two 642 revolvers for pocket carry. I bought them for $289 each in January of 2020! 👍👍👍👍

I have two of the S&W 442's. I used to have two of the older Taurus's but got rid of both when they both shot almost a foot to the left at close range and couldn't move point of impact with the fixed sights.... Hope yours are better!

Taurus makes the 3 inch model in an Ultra-Light frame as well. I don’t know the exact weight difference but it’s very noticeable.

I have a Taurus all steel 856 in my carry rotation. Upgraded it with VZ grips and night sights. Great piece. Prefer the all steel frame because it is more comfortable to shoot.

I had the first generation of the Taurus 856 in titanium and had to send it back to Taurus due to a faulty transfer bar issue, it wouldn't fire in a downward angle, if I remember right, it was fixed and shipped back in about 2 weeks/2010-2011 time period!

Great video man. I carry a Smith 642 occasionally. Those little guns pack a punch. I am interested in that new Rossi R63 that just came out. I hope you are enjoying retirement.

The Zeta6 is a nice quick loader. The S&W 442 is still a hot seller. The Taurus I've only seen a couple of them, really nice revolver. Great work as always! 👍👮‍♂️🇺🇸

How did I miss this video Beretta Sr? Must have have been working too hard. I love my 3 Taurus 856 UL revolvers.

I might be mistaken but I think the Smith uses different style springs than the Taurus, which might explain the differences in their triggers. This video is extremely informative. I like these revolvers for hiking and fishing.

Old school wheelgun goodness right here! Thanks for the great review as always! I definitely recommend the Zeta 6 products as well. Use them for my LCRx and my Colts. (Are there any snake guns in the future?? Sam Colt might smile from on high if you showcased one or two... ;) )

Thank you for the comparison video. Your recommendations carry a lot of weight with me, but I have trust issues with Taurus! Would love the extra round that comes with the Ultra-Lite, esp. now that Taurus offers this with a bobbed DAO hammer.
