I just bought this same model--3 inch barrel, blued, wood grips, off of GunBroker and am excited to receive it. I've had a Taurus model 85 with a 2inch barrel since the very early 90s and love it! The 3 incher I just bought also has a ported barrel with 8 ports, which should be amazingly helpful when shooting. Can't wait to get it and take it to the range!

Just picked up this exact model and a 2 inch blued model at my local pawn shop . 300 for the 3 inch and 280 for the 2 inch out the door . I love older Taurus wheel guns .

Sure wish they would bring this back to the market. Best gun they ever made.

What a beautiful piece! I am a sucker for old Taurus revolvers, I have a few in my collection but not a 3” model 85. The day I see one for sale I’ll jump at it right away.

I have a stainless steel one made in 1995. The three-inch barrel makes it about as perfect a five-shot .38 as one can be.

just picked one up two days ago at a gun show! my serial number isnt in the system because my current model was made before taurus was bought out... so this bit has to be from the late 80's. i love it, i currently carry it. Might hop on the s&w 3'' J frame soon for daily carry, i rather refurbish this 85 and keep it for collection.

Just bought a 3 inch mod 85 stainless. Hope the extra inch of barrel doesnt make concealment a problem. But it will surely help the mediocre velocity of the snubby.

yeah put your fingerprints all over that nice bluing. I would buy that gun in a heartbeat. I got the Stainless Steel version with 2 inch barrel. these older Taurus guns were really well made. now thy are crap. spotty quality control. but these old ones are worth looking for. I wouldn't mind picking up a few blued ones.
