The weight helps tame recoil and get back on target I purposely chose this gun as well. It's a great gun and a snubbie with 6 rounds is hard to beat. i believe the weight difference is like 5-6 ozs. If you can't handle 6 additional ozs. you gotta hit the gym.

It does have a hammer, it just doesn't have the spur. I changed the grips with the Viridian Laser Grips. They are a little longer for better control.

You do know they make and aluminum frame lightweight version of that exact gun. Then again, the weight may help with recoil. We need a range video now.
