I'm not a Trump fan but I think Harris and Walz's stance on censorship/anti-freedom of speech and the constitution in general is FAR more dangerous than anything Trump has said or done. The opening line about holding people accountable for "misinformation" is chilling and sounds straight out of the 1984 novel.

The issue of abortion is not overly complex, and it’s frustrating to see it treated as though responsible women are randomly burdened with unwanted pregnancies. Pregnancy is not accidental—we all know how it happens. Women must take responsibility for their actions. It’s unfair to expect society to deal with the consequences of preventable mistakes. This is not the 1960s. Today, we have access to safe, effective, and easily available birth control, along with inexpensive at-home pregnancy tests that provide accurate results as early as 10 days. If a woman is sexually active and does not want a child, she must use both. No exceptions.

Abortion should be legal, safe, and exceedingly rare. Unfortunately, many women are using abortion as a form of birth control, and that is barbaric. I support a national right to abortion up to a strict limit, to be determined by scientists and physicians, not politicians or activists. There is absolutely no excuse for being 12+ weeks pregnant without knowing it—it's entirely preventable. As a culture we need to stop infantilizing women and start expecting responsibility from them. Some mistakes are too profound to minimize or enable. It's time to recognize the seriousness of this issue and stop viewing babies as disposable.
