The scene in the original is one of the best scenes in the movie

Pr moi la scène du réfectoire du Fame original est tellement meilleur et faisait tellement plus spontané. Je vais qd même regarder cette version pour me faire un avis mais je pense que je serais de la team 80 😀

Doesn’t feel as organic as the 1980 version and the song is definitely not as good but I appreciate the effort to try to bring in different musical styles

It's not bad for what it is, but to me it doesn't have the vibe, energy, or the punch the Hot Lunch Jam in the original film did. Not even close.
Have to admit that blonde girl singing has got some pipes, though.

the original was the best wish they would stop remaking classics

Can't compare to the original cafeteria jam

Ugh, it looks all so fake, unlike the original, which has to be one of the best edited and directed musical numbers in the history of cinema, feeling completely organic, really improvised - which wasn't! - and poignant, even showing glances to the soul of the cast and underlining how they will connect at school.

This was very very forced and seemed so choreographed. Not like the original which seemed so much more spontaneous (even though I know it was planned out too).

The Original for me was far superior to this remake. Movies were just filmed and acted better in the 1980s

Ça n'a pas du tout l'énergie et l'enthousiasme de l'original, le Vrai Fame ! 😖🥱

Doesn’t feel as organic as the 1980 version and the song is definitely not as good but I appreciate the effort to try to bring in different musical styles. Plus by 2008 it was obviously cost prohibitive to hire as many dancers as in the 1980 version. lol

For me the original song was one thousand times better than this.

So incredibly inferior to the same scene in the original.
