What we don’t see here is the dark side of chocolate. The fact that chocolate makes up a billion dollar industry but the 40 million people that depend on cocoa for their livelihood often live in poverty. We can change that through direct trade by paying farmers a fair, ethical, living wage and retuning a fair share of the value of chocolate back to those that grow the cocoa we need to make it.
